Starring: In the mid-'80s, John Leslie directed a half-dozen simply superb videos for VCA that while shot on video told solid stories ("Goin' Down Slow"), experimented with the medium ("Sexopherenia" and "The Rehearsal"), or tapped out secret sexual passions ("Hot Scalding" and the now classic "Catwoman. ") Then there were the thow-aways, loose comedies that packed a sexual punch ("Playin' Dirty"), or faltered. This is one of his most wobbly. Marc Wallice plays a bumbling private dick who can't manage his business or his women. It features Mike Horner, Jamie Gillis as his landlord, Sasha as a willing Girl Friday, Rachel Ashley, and Leslie regular Selena Steel.
As you'd expect, it's crisply shot by Leslie, but, unfortunately, poorly written. The plot spins in circles looking for someplace to go.
Thank God the girls are hot and adept at playing for laughs. Rachel Ashley is a rich bitch who thinks Wallice is a sex therapist and demands he get her off with the help of he aide Selena. It's a goof-ball scene that sets the tone of the production.
And it's all that keeps the video afloat. When Ashley realizes she's been humped by a P. I. , she send him after her hubby Mike Horner (another solid comic actor) who is busy paying folks to fuck in front of him. It's the only way he can get off. It's more silliness that prevents the production from ever hitting the erotic heights of Leslie's other films.
It's doo damn silly.
A Leslie's done so much better.
