Starring: The youthful Ron Jeremy is the star, and don't blanch, folks -- he's pretty good in this tale of middle-class angst, penned by Anne Randall. Fortunately, director Cecil Howard had a gift for casting hot women and lensing some very hot sex. The focus of male arousal in this vid is the luscious Lisa Be, who plays Ron's cheating wife. Chelsea Manchester ("Tigr") plays their daughter and adds her own teenaged heat to the mix. Tiffany Clark also gets girlish with R. Bolla, and Sharon Mitchell shares a hot threeway with Anna Turner and Ron Hudd. Seldom-seen pornstresses Copper Penny, Tess Mayo, and Tammy Lamb also raise temparature. Alas, Box-cover girl Ariel Lee appears only nude and only briefly. Studs George Payne, Sean Elliot, and Danny Ambrose perform ably. Overall, the sexis hot, and the acting, as is usual in Howard's films, is several cuts above the norm of porn.

Howard's films of the late '70s and '80s, more often than not, look like "real" movies, and this one is no exception. The photography and editing are crisp, though at times Howard strives to be a little too "arty" with washed-out lighting and editing that jumps back and forth across time.

Although the Howard/Randall storyline can be confusing to casual viewers, the sex is always on target. Lisa has three hot scenes, with George, Ron, and Sean, respectively. Chelsea experiments with Sean and Tess, masturbates while watching Mommy and Daddy, and later decides to turn pro with Danny. Not realizing that his wife is cheating on him, Ron's psychiatrist character is carrying on an affair with his secretary (Copper) -- who's cheating on him too -- and visiting a whorehouse to try out young Tammy. (Lotsa barely legal chicks here. ) The pshychiatrist also has to listen to his patients' sexual hangups and escapades, which lead to the Tiff/Bolla and Anna/Sharon/Hudd tryst. For such a talky film, the sex scenes are frequent and very arousing, if sometimes a bit short. The ending of the film, however, is a downer.

The female cast and the hot sex. Lis Be was one of the lesser-known lights of NYC porn c. 1990, and she didn't make nearly enough films. This is one of her steamiest, and all the other performers are at their best.

Most of Howard's films try hard to make a statement, but what this one has to say is none too clear nor seems to be very original. The viewer really has to pay close attention to follow it and understand the character relationships. The story could have been told more clearly. The sex scenes are frequent but some seem edited a bit brisky and cut unnaturally short.

Whatever its flaws, this is an far-above-average porn film, for story fans and strokers alike. Ron, Lisa, and Chelsea head an excellent cast, both as actors and in the sack. Rating: 8
