Starring: Terri Hall, Jennifer Jordan, Juliet Graham, Jeffrey Hurst and Melody Jardin. The reason to see this movie is Terri Hall, still one of the greatest actresses in erotic movies. The others put in a workmanlike performance but none are outstanding.
Considering when it was produced, the set design and costumes are not bad. Sound quality is less than perfect but acceptable.
These days films look a lot different and there is less of an attempt to be coy or even attempt a rational plot. Fantasex probably spends a little too much time on its "plot development" and not enough time getting the performers out of their clothes and into each other. On the other hand, when Terri Hall is onscreen, the room temperature goes up ten degrees. She has an almost secret sexuality that's hidden at first but then grabs center stage later in the film.
Terri Hall manages to be simultaneously graceful, almost demure, and at the same time enormously sexy. She has that rare quality of projecting intelligence and humor even while being ravaged by assorted actors and actresses. She also is very clearly having a great time, or is great at pretending.
Few of the older erotic films remain truly sexy. For some reason old porn films seem to grow dated more quickly than general release pictures. I grew impatient with some of the sophomoric antics leading up to Terri Hall's joining in the fun.
The film would probably get a 2 overall but Terri Hall's performance would be an easy 8.
