Playboy Playmate Danelle Folta is one of the most popular centerfold models of recent years, a do-anything beauty and athlete who has turned her stint in the magazine into a side career as an extreme sports enchantress. With her red hair, gorgeous face and mesmerizing 34C-24-35 curves, Danella always gets noticed when she steps on the scene. Danelle was born in Hammond, Indiana, on April 19, 1969. She grew up in Northeast Indiana, a small-town girl who burned for the bright lights and excitement of the big city. She got her wish when she moved with her father to Denver at the age of fifteen. Danelle had to go back to Indiana for her senior year in high school, but returned to Denver as soon as she graduated. Danelle's plan was to attend Denver University, and she decided to try some modeling to help pay her way through school. The modeling agency she went to was more than impressed -- they signed her up on the spot! Two weeks before she was supposed to start college, Danelle was jetted off to Milan to begin her fashion modeling career. Over the next several years, Danelle traveled throughout Europe as a model, appearing in shows from London to Milan to Madrid. As her career soared, Danelle kept getting approached by representatives of Playboy, who recognized a good thing when they saw it. After a few years in Milan, Danelle finally gave in to Playboy's numerous requests and agreed to appear in a shoot focusing on European models. She ended up making an even bigger splash, becoming Miss April 1995. Since her centerfold spread, Danelle has continued modeling. She's also taken up acting, landing small parts in such fare as 'Snow Dogs.' Danelle also has dabbled in video games, appearing as a motion-captured actress in 'Return to Castle Wolfenstein' in 2001. Danelle is best known as the founder and captain of the Playboy X-treme Team. An avid snowboarder and all-around athlete, Danelle formed the squad to help shatter Playmate stereotypes while also inspiring other women to be healthy and fit. Her most recent adventure with the X-treme Team was in 2003's 'Eco-Challenge: Fiji Islands,' where Danelle faced down one of the roughest such courses in the world -- and still looked fabulous! Danelle Folta continues to inspire and entice as she traverses the globe in search of fun and adventure.
